Monthly Rentals in Scottsdale: How Our Extended Stays Work

A month in Scottsdale is a different trip from a weekend. Here is who books our houses for thirty nights or more, what is included, and how it differs from signing a lease.

What a monthly stay with us looks like

Monthly rentals in Scottsdale come in two very different kinds, and it helps to know which one you are looking for. One is an unfurnished lease: you sign for a year, bring your own furniture, and set up utilities. The other is a furnished extended stay: you arrive with a suitcase and the house is ready. Ours are the second kind.

Every one of our Arizona houses welcomes stays of thirty nights or more, at discounted rates compared with nightly booking. The house comes furnished and equipped, with a full kitchen, linens, Wi-Fi and laundry, and the same people who look after short stays look after you. Extended stays are priced on request, so call us or ask through the house page.

Who books thirty nights or more

Over the years, the guests who stay a month or longer have tended to fall into a few groups. Each has slightly different needs, and the right house depends on which one you are.

  • Winter visitors escaping snow for January, February or March
  • Families between homes during a move, a sale or a renovation
  • Professionals on a temporary assignment or a relocation
  • Remote workers who want a month of sun with a proper desk
  • Families in town for medical treatment or to be near a relative
  • Golfers and hikers who want a full season rather than a long weekend

Which house suits a longer stay

For one or two people, Troon Ranch Casitas is the natural fit. The Cabin Casita has one bedroom and sleeps two; the Loft Casita has two bedrooms and sleeps four. Both sit on a working horse ranch beneath Troon Mountain in North Scottsdale, with a shared pool and spa, close to Pinnacle Peak, the McDowell Sonoran Preserve and Troon North golf. A month here is quiet, outdoors and unhurried.

For a family, or for two households sharing, Wild West Estate has seven bedrooms near Old Town Scottsdale. The location makes daily life easy: groceries, restaurants and errands are close, and you can walk or take a short ride into town in the evening.

For an extended family or a large household in transition, Valley Vista Estate in Paradise Valley has eleven bedrooms and a detached casita with its own kitchen, which gives a second household real independence under the same roof.

Living in a house, not visiting it

A month changes what matters. On a weekend trip, a pool and a view do the work. Over thirty nights, you notice the kitchen, the laundry, the desk chair, the water pressure and how quickly someone answers when the dishwasher acts up.

Our houses are set up for that. Full kitchens let you cook most meals at home. Laundry is in the house, and there is Wi-Fi throughout. Ask us about housekeeping during a longer stay.

Tell us how you will use the house when you book. If you need a quiet room for work, early check-in for a moving truck schedule, or space to store a bike or golf clubs, we will plan for it.

Rates, timing and minimums

We do not publish monthly prices because they depend on the house, the season and how long you stay. Thirty nights in July and thirty nights in February are very different requests. Extended stays are discounted from nightly rates; call us at (480) 781-0717 for a quote on your dates.

Winter is the busiest season for longer stays, and January through March also brings Barrett-Jackson, the Phoenix Open and spring training, when event weeks carry longer minimums and book early. If you want a winter month, ask in the summer or early fall. Late spring, summer and fall are easier to book and often the best value for a long stay.

Pets may be considered at some Arizona houses with prior approval and a pet fee. Troon Ranch Casitas does not take pets.

Working remotely for a month

Many of our longer-stay guests are working, not just vacationing. If that is you, tell us when you book. We will point you to the quietest room in the house for calls and help you think through time zones; Arizona does not change its clocks, so the gap to home shifts in spring and fall.

A month also lets you settle into a routine that a short trip never allows: an early hike before the workday, lunch by the pool, a regular table at a restaurant you found in the first week. That is the real reason people come back for a second winter.

Weekly stays as a middle ground

Not every longer trip needs a month. A week or two works well for a family vacation, a conference with a few days added at each end, or a trial run before a longer winter. Weekly stays use the same houses and the same setup. Pick your dates with Check availability on any house page, and ask about the discount if your plans stretch toward thirty nights.

Questions we get asked

Do you offer monthly rentals in Scottsdale?

Yes. Every one of our Arizona houses welcomes stays of thirty nights or more, fully furnished, at discounted rates priced on request.

Is a monthly stay a lease?

No. These are furnished extended stays, not unfurnished leases. You arrive to a ready house with a kitchen, linens, Wi-Fi and laundry.

Which house is best for a couple staying a month?

Troon Ranch Casitas. The Cabin Casita sleeps two and the Loft Casita sleeps four, on a quiet horse ranch in North Scottsdale with a shared pool and spa.

How far ahead should I book a winter month?

As early as you can. January through March is the busiest stretch of the year, and event weeks carry longer minimums. Summer or early fall is a good time to ask.

Can cleaning be arranged during a long stay?

Ask us about housekeeping during an extended stay when you book, and we will tell you what we can do for those dates.

Can I bring my dog for a month?

Pets may be considered at some Arizona houses with prior approval and a pet fee. Troon Ranch Casitas does not take pets.
